Oklahoma State NIL rules.

Oklahoma State funds revenue sharing through the POSSE Excellence Fund in its OSU NIL Alliance; its handbook bars alcohol, tobacco, marijuana and sports wagering deals.

The short answer. Oklahoma State announced the OSU NIL Alliance on 2025-12-17, "Created to fully-fund revenue share and to grow endorsement opportunities", pairing the POSSE Excellence Fund with Learfield's Cowboy Sports Properties; the College Sports Commission lists OSU for 2026-27, with a cap of about $21.58 million per school. OSU's 2025-26 Student-Athlete Handbook says third-party deals of $600 and above are reported at NIL Go and bars NIL activities that conflict with NCAA legislation, such as sports wagering or banned substances including legal marijuana, or that promote alcohol, tobacco, drugs or adult entertainment. Oklahoma law has athletes disclose NIL contracts in the manner the school designates (/nil/college/oklahoma).

School NIL policyOSU's 2025-26 Student-Athlete Handbook (posted 2025-08-20) has a section "NCAA House Case Settlement and Name, Image and Likeness (NIL)" that summarizes the settlement and lists "Oklahoma State University NIL policies of note" on university marks, prohibited categories and professional service providers; it says NIL activities "tied to your athletic participation or performance or your enrollment at Oklahoma State University are prohibited". OSU's NIL page (web address dated 2021-08-24) says "See OSU's full NIL policies"; that link (a 2021-06-30 PDF) opened the OSU NIL Alliance home page on 2026-10-21, and a 2022 "NIL policies" page showed no content. How deals are disclosedNCAA: third-party deals of $600 or more go to NIL Go within five business days (Bylaws 22.2.2, 22.2.2.2). OSU's 2025-26 handbook says "all division 1 student-athletes must report third-party NIL deals with compensation valued at $600 and above" at NIL Go (www.nilgo.com). OSU's own reporting channel is INFLCR. Its NIL page (web address dated 2021-08-24) says "Recording your NIL activities in the INFLCR Exchange is quick and easy" through "Report New Transaction", and that "Recording each activity as early as possible allows the OSU Office of Athletics Compliance to ensure that your NIL activity is within NCAA and OSU policies"; its NIL FAQ (copyright 2021, written before Oklahoma's law took effect) says "OSU policy requires that all student-athletes report all NIL activities to the OSU Office of Athletics Compliance through the INLFCR app". OSU's NIL FAQ adds deals that conflict with OSU team contracts, giving as its example a Nike apparel contract and competing brands worn during team activities. OSU's NIL page says "Athletic Department policy allows OSU student-athletes to use Oklahoma State marks in NIL activities involving an institutional partner". OSU's NIL site describes non-exclusive group licensing with OneTeam Partners, which it says acquired The Brandr Group: athletes opt in through the COMPASS NIL app, and royalties from products using their names and numbers are paid twice a year; the Brandr Group page asks athletes to disclose the relationship to OSU Compliance through INFLCROSU Athletics, Student-Athlete Handbook 2025-26; Name, Image and Likeness page; OSU NIL, OneTeam Partners and The Brandr Group pages

On 2026-05-19 OSU moved Brock to Senior Associate Athletic Director for POSSE, overseeing POSSE and annual fund giving, and named Jesse Martin Deputy Athletic Director/Chief Commercial Officer, with oversight of marketing and Cowboy Sports Properties and "increased involvement with Orange Power Studios, athletics communications and NIL". The Alliance's page also lists NoCap Revenue Solutions (deal management and athlete-brand matchmaking), Orange Power Studios (content) and the OSU NIL Shop (autograph and memorabilia programs), and names Barry Hinson as Associate AD and Director of NIL. Athletic Director Chad Weiberg's note dated 2026-07-28 says OSU restructured its leadership "to maximize our partnerships with Cowboy Sports Properties, Loyal & True Marketing, and businesses across the state and nation" and thanks "Loyal & True Marketing and businesses who are making a significant difference in the NIL space"; OSU publishes nothing else on Loyal & True. What is specific to Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State's NIL program is run as an alliance of the athletics department's donor fund and its multimedia rights holder. The OSU NIL Alliance, announced on 2025-12-17, puts the POSSE Excellence Fund, which OSU says pays for more than $31 million in scholarships and revenue share across its ticketed sports, next to Learfield's Cowboy Sports Properties, which brings athletes into OSU's sponsorship deals, and its partner list includes deal-management, content and memorabilia vendors. A May 2026 restructuring put NIL and Cowboy Sports Properties under a new deputy athletic director and chief commercial officer. OSU's written rules sit mostly in its 2025-26 Student-Athlete Handbook, whose prohibited list reaches beyond Oklahoma's statute to legal and medical marijuana, alcohol, tobacco and adult entertainment. Its older NIL FAQ, still online, sends athletes to the INFLCR app to report every NIL activity to compliance, a step in addition to NIL Go.

How Leave fits

In Leave, every deal thread carries a rules summary for the athlete's state and level, and keeps the contract, its dates and the disclosure deadline that applies. It is a summary, not a ruling; the school and the law decide. Leave is software, not an agent, and takes 0% of any deal. You decide, you send.

Questions about NIL at Oklahoma State

Does Oklahoma State pay its athletes?

Yes, through revenue sharing. The College Sports Commission lists Oklahoma State as participating in 2026-27, with a cap of about $21.58 million per school, and OSU says its POSSE Excellence Fund provides more than $31 million in scholarships and revenue share across its ticketed sports. Oklahoma law lets OSU pay athletes for NIL, but not with state-allocated funds (70 O.S. 820.23(B)(1)). OSU publishes no per-athlete amounts.

What is the OSU NIL Alliance?

It is Oklahoma State's NIL structure announced on 2025-12-17, created "to fully-fund revenue share and to grow endorsement opportunities". It pairs the POSSE Excellence Fund, for donors, with Learfield's Cowboy Sports Properties, which works NIL into OSU's sponsorship, media and marketing deals. Since 2026-05-19 Jesse Martin, Deputy Athletic Director/Chief Commercial Officer, oversees Cowboy Sports Properties with increased involvement in NIL, according to OSU.

How do Oklahoma State athletes report NIL deals?

Third-party deals of $600 and above go to NIL Go, within five business days under NCAA Bylaw 22.2.2.2, as OSU's 2025-26 handbook notes. OSU's NIL pages also ask athletes to report NIL activities to the Office of Athletics Compliance through the INFLCR app. Oklahoma law leaves the manner of disclosure to the school.

What NIL deals can't Oklahoma State athletes do?

OSU's 2025-26 handbook bars NIL activity tied to athletic performance or enrollment, activity conflicting with NCAA rules (sports wagering, banned substances including medical and legal marijuana, illegal drugs), and promotion of alcohol, tobacco, illegal or recreational drugs or adult entertainment, plus activity reasonably seen as conflicting with OSU values.

Is Pokes With A Purpose part of Oklahoma State?

No, by its own description. Pokes With A Purpose's site calls it a 501(c)(3) created to work with all Oklahoma State athletes on NIL and says it is not part of the university. Oklahoma State's own NIL Alliance pages do not name it.
