Arkansas NIL rules.

Arkansas runs revenue sharing and NIL through its Front Office. Its FAQ gives athletes 72 hours to disclose NIL activity; Arkansas law bans alcohol and gambling deals.

The short answer. Arkansas Athletics runs revenue sharing and NIL deal matching through a unit it calls the Front Office, which its FAQ describes as the athletics unit that "coordinates revenue sharing, NIL matching, and compliance"; the College Sports Commission lists the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville as a participating school for 2026-27. The Front Office FAQ (PDF dated 2025-09-11) says athletes "have 72 hours to disclose any NIL activity to the Front Office" and "must submit any deal over $600 to NILGO within 5 days of signing an agreement"; NCAA Bylaws 22.2.2 and 22.2.2.2 set NIL Go reporting at $600 or more within five business days. Arkansas law itself bars NIL pay tied to alcohol, gambling, tobacco and marijuana, weapons, adult entertainment and other categories (Ark. Code 4-75-1307(b); /nil/college/arkansas).

School NIL policyArkansas publishes no single NIL policy document. Its rules sit on several athletics pages of different dates: the Front Office page (updated 2026-06-30) and its FAQ (PDF dated 2025-09-11); the Flagship (Office of Athlete Brand Development) pages for student-athletes (last updated 2023-11-28) and for third-party licensees (last updated 2024-12-05), which still open with the July 2021 start of NIL; and the NIL Requests page for businesses (updated 2025-09-08). The Flagship student-athlete page carries a graphic uploaded in August 2022 listing sanctions for breaking the disclosure rules, from "restriction of commercial use of NIL" to "temporary suspension", "reprimand" and "dismissal". The 2024-25 Student-Athlete Handbook, still the one the Front Office links, lists NIL guidelines in a section header but prints no NIL rulesArkansas Athletics, Front Office, Front Office FAQ (2025), Flagship pages (2021 to 2024), Student-Athlete Handbook 2024-25
How deals are disclosedNIL Go for third-party deals of $600 or more within five business days (NCAA Bylaws 22.2.2, 22.2.2.2); the Front Office page links NIL Go. Arkansas's own published rules differ by date. The Front Office FAQ (PDF dated 2025-09-11) says athletes "have 72 hours to disclose any NIL activity to the Front Office" and "must submit any deal over $600 to NILGO within 5 days of signing an agreement". The August 2022 graphic on the Flagship student-athlete page (page updated 2023-11-28) says athletes "must report NIL activity at least 72 hours prior to any an agreement being signed or entered", listing the term, compensation or value, parties and type of services, on a form filled out in person or via Teamworks. The same page says an athlete or representative discloses a representation arrangement "at least 48 hours prior to executing an agreement". Arkansas law has the athlete disclose each NIL contract, with its terms and pay, to a designated school official in the time and manner the school sets (Ark. Code 4-75-1306)Arkansas Front Office FAQ (2025); Flagship student-athletes page (2022 graphic); NCAA Division I Manual 2026-27; Ark. Code 4-75-1306
Banned categoriesArkansas law bars NIL pay connected with adult entertainment or sex-oriented products; alcohol; casinos and gambling, including sports betting; tobacco, marijuana or electronic smoking products; pharmaceuticals; dangerous or controlled substances; drug paraphernalia; weapons, including firearms and ammunition; and anything banned in competition by the governing association (Ark. Code 4-75-1307(b)). Arkansas's Front Office FAQ says athletes may contract with "any company outside of those in the restricted classes (tobacco, alcohol, etc.)". The older Flagship pages also exclude companies that conflict with the university's exclusive partners or sponsors, saying any exceptions "would need to be admitted by the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Athlete Brand Development and Inclusive Excellence"Arkansas Front Office FAQ (2025); Flagship pages; Ark. Code 4-75-1307(b)
School marks and group licensingArkansas's NIL Requests page says athletes and the brands they work with may not use the university's intellectual property without written permission from the Office of Athlete Brand Development, and defines that property broadly: names, nicknames, trademarks, facilities, landmarks, uniforms, songs, slogans, mascots, logos, colors and broadcasts. The Front Office page links a graphic (posted September 2025) of corporate partners permitted to use university intellectual property, and a graphic of primary exclusive sponsors and partners. Arkansas's Licensing page (updated 2026-09-01) says "At this time, current and former student-athletes may not use any University intellectual property for commercial purposes" and names the Collegiate Licensing Company as the university's exclusive trademark-licensing representative; the Front Office page links athlete merchandise stores. Revenue sharingThe College Sports Commission puts the 2026-27 cap at approximately $21.58 million per school and lists the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville as a participating school for 2026-27. Arkansas's Front Office FAQ says the Front Office "coordinates revenue sharing". Before the settlement was approved, Athletics Director Hunter Yurachek wrote on 2024-10-31 that schools would be permitted to pay athletes for NIL directly from athletics revenue and that "The projected annual financial impact for Razorback Athletics will be approximately $22 million", and that the department, which he said receives "$0 in funding from the state, university or a student athletics fee", would add a three-percent fee on concessions and other purchases at events to fund added scholarships. The Flagship student-athlete page says an athlete may sign with an agent, attorney or marketing firm for NIL, that the representation "must be licensed within the state of Arkansas", and that it "may only assist with NIL activity and not negotiate anything tied to your sport". What is specific to Arkansas

Arkansas runs revenue sharing and NIL like a professional front office. On 2025-03-24 it named Remy Cofield, then the Boston Celtics' Director of Scouting, as deputy athletics director and general manager, to oversee "the strategic allocation of department and affiliate resources" and lead "player contract negotiations". The Front Office page now calls the unit "the strategic arm of the University of Arkansas Athletic Department" that oversees "revenue sharing, NIL (Name, Image and Likeness) partnerships, roster management and recruiting strategy", with a general manager, an assistant general manager for analytics and strategy, a director of NIL and athlete strategy and a director of player relations. Its TheLinkU partnership is described as generating "legitimate above the cap revenue for Arkansas athletes". Arkansas's older Flagship page also tells athletes that the university and the Razorback Foundation keep the right to use athletes' NIL to promote the institution under the Frank Broyles Publicity Rights Protection Act (Ark. Code 4-75-1110), and both that page and the 2025 Front Office FAQ say the university treats the NIL information athletes give it as an education record protected under FERPA.

How Leave fits

In Leave, every deal thread carries a rules summary for the athlete's state and level, and keeps the contract, its dates and the disclosure deadline that applies. It is a summary, not a ruling; the school and the law decide. Leave is software, not an agent, and takes 0% of any deal. You decide, you send.
