Coppin State NIL rules.

Coppin State is on the 2026-27 revenue-sharing list and launched the Eagle Xchange for NIL deals with Influencer. Maryland law has athletes disclose NIL contracts.

The short answer. The College Sports Commission lists Coppin State as a revenue-sharing school for 2026-27, with a cap of about $21.58 million per school; Coppin has published no statement or amount of its own. Coppin's NIL tool is the Coppin State Eagle Xchange, launched with Influencer on 2024-09-16, where a business pays an athlete for a completed deal and the exchange will "automate a disclosure to the CSU Compliance Office". As a University System of Maryland school, Coppin is covered by Maryland's NIL law, which has athletes disclose NIL contracts to a school-designated official, and NIL Go covers third-party deals of $600 or more.

What is specific to Coppin State

Coppin State is a public historically Black university in Baltimore and a constituent institution of the University System of Maryland (Educ. § 12-101(b)(6)), which Maryland's NIL statute covers, so its athletes have state-law protections that athletes at private Maryland colleges do not: a Coppin scholarship may not be reduced or cancelled because an athlete earns NIL pay (Educ. § 15-131(b)(1)(ii)). Coppin's own NIL record is short. The only NIL announcement on its athletics site, on 2024-09-16, launched the Coppin State Eagle Xchange with Influencer, which Director of Athletics Derek Carter said "now positions all our student-athletes to work toward maximizing their Name, Image, and Likeness potential"; Coppin says all transactions in it are consolidated into one 1099 at the end of the year. The MEAC had already announced a multi-year, league-wide INFLCR partnership on 2021-09-16 providing "educational resources, brand-building techniques and a disclosure technology platform". Coppin's 2025-26 handbook, the newest posted, does not mention NIL.

How Leave fits

In Leave, every deal thread carries a rules summary for the athlete's state and level, and keeps the contract, its dates and the disclosure deadline that applies. It is a summary, not a ruling; the school and the law decide. Leave is software, not an agent, and takes 0% of any deal. You decide, you send.
