Revenue sharingMorgan's 2025-02-25 release says its Board of Regents "has approved the University's decision to opt into the House v. What is specific to Morgan State

Morgan State is a public historically Black research university in Baltimore with its own Board of Regents, and it is the only school outside the University System of Maryland that Maryland's NIL statute names. Its revenue-sharing decision was made at board level: Morgan's 2025-02-25 announcement says the regents approved opting in and that Morgan, as a MEAC member, "made the independent decision to opt in" (the regents' minutes of 2025-05-06 record that the MEAC later opted in as a conference), and that football would drop from 130 to 105 players under the settlement's roster limits, with limits also reaching basketball and tennis. President David K. Wilson said the decision ensures "compliance, stability, and new opportunities". Athletic Director Dena Freeman-Patton said it lets Morgan "create pathways for financial support beyond traditional NIL opportunities". On NIL deals themselves, Morgan routes reporting through its NIL Exchange, which it says produces a form meeting Maryland law and Morgan's NIL guidelines. The regents' public minutes of 2026-05-11 record the athletics director telling the board she is working with the vice president for institutional advancement and an alum "on some NIL initiatives" to be discussed at the August meeting; minutes of an August 2026 meeting were not posted as of 2026-10-23.

How Leave fits

In Leave, every deal thread carries a rules summary for the athlete's state and level, and keeps the contract, its dates and the disclosure deadline that applies. It is a summary, not a ruling; the school and the law decide. Leave is software, not an agent, and takes 0% of any deal. You decide, you send.
