What is specific to Northeastern

Northeastern is a private university in Boston without a football team, and no Massachusetts college NIL statute was found, so no state NIL law reaches it; its rules are the NCAA's and its own. Northeastern keeps its NIL rules in the university-wide policy library, not only on the athletics site: Policy 806, issued the day NCAA NIL rules took effect and revised in July 2022. Two terms in it are specific: deals are disclosed seven days before the NIL activity through ARMS, and an NIL or representation contract may not run past the athlete's time on a Northeastern team. The policy also says university employees may not arrange NIL pay, a line written before the House settlement; the College Sports Commission now lists Northeastern among 2026-27 revenue-sharing schools.

How Leave fits

In Leave, every deal thread carries a rules summary for the athlete's state and level, and keeps the contract, its dates and the disclosure deadline that applies. It is a summary, not a ruling; the school and the law decide. Leave is software, not an agent, and takes 0% of any deal. You decide, you send.
