Wofford NIL rules.

Wofford opted into the House settlement; in August 2025 its AD wrote it was not revenue sharing. Its 2026-27 handbook points to NIL Go; SC law covers the college.

The short answer. Wofford's 2026-27 Student-Athlete Handbook says "Wofford publicly opted into the House settlement" and "This handbook does not promise a payment". In the athletics director's column of 2025-08-06, written as the 2025-26 year began, Wofford wrote, "While we have opted in, we are not revenue sharing with student-athletes." The College Sports Commission lists Wofford for 2026-27, with a 2026-27 cap of about $21.58 million per school. Deals of $600 or more go to NIL Go, and South Carolina's NIL chapter covers private colleges such as Wofford (/nil/college/south-carolina).

What is specific to Wofford

Wofford is a private college, and South Carolina's NIL chapter reaches it: the statute covers athletes at any post-secondary institution, not only public schools. Wofford posts NIL documents of different dates. The policy on its NIL page (file dated 2024-10-17) bars Wofford from creating or facilitating deals and asks for disclosure before an agreement is final. The 2026-27 Student-Athlete Handbook and the 2026-27 Policy and Procedure Manual, posted on the compliance page, say Wofford may identify or facilitate deals that a third party pays for and point to NIL Go. On revenue sharing, the athletics director wrote on 2025-08-06 that opting in gave flexibility "to designate student-athletes above the roster limits only this season" without sharing revenue, and the 2026-27 handbook says "Any institutional payment or benefit will be stated in a separate written agreement". Wofford's 2024 policy also says an athlete "must be academically eligible for competition in order to participate in NIL activities".

How Leave fits

In Leave, every deal thread carries a rules summary for the athlete's state and level, and keeps the contract, its dates and the disclosure deadline that applies. It is a summary, not a ruling; the school and the law decide. Leave is software, not an agent, and takes 0% of any deal. You decide, you send.
