Auburn NIL rules.

Auburn's AD wrote in 2025 that Auburn is fully funding revenue sharing, a $20.5 million investment. Its athletics site has no NIL policy now; NIL Go applies.

The short answer. Auburn Athletics Director John Cohen wrote on 2025-06-07 that Auburn is "fully funding revenue sharing, a $20.5 million investment" and will "allocate 113.8 additional scholarships year-over-year" (Auburn Athletics, From the Desk of John Cohen). The athletics site no longer carries an NIL policy: auburntigers.com/nil returned "not found" on 2026-10-21, and the compliance pages have no NIL section, so the published rules for an Auburn athlete are NCAA reporting through NIL Go and the College Sports Commission's rules. Alabama has had no college NIL statute since 2022 (/nil/college/alabama).

What is specific to Auburn

The most specific NIL arrangement Auburn has published is tied to one game. Auburn Athletics announced on 2025-10-06 that Auburn would face Baylor in the Aflac Kickoff Game to open the 2026 season on Sept. 5, 2026, at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and that the game was "creating a first-of-its-kind opportunity for Auburn student-athletes to engage in name, image and likeness (NIL) activations tied directly to ticket sales, the Aflac Kickoff Game, and surrounding events." The release says: "Through a multi-million-dollar partnership, Peach Bowl, Inc., via the Aflac Kickoff Game, will work with third-party entities to secure marketing assets and promotional appearances by Auburn student-athletes, giving them meaningful visibility and new avenues to benefit from their NIL." Cohen said: "Any time we have the ability to advance Auburn student-athletes' ability to earn third-party NIL compensation, we will take that opportunity." Inside the department, the staff directory lists two units, NIL Events and Strategic Initiatives and Player Management, each headed by Brett Whiteside, Executive Senior Associate AD, whom Auburn's 2025-07-31 release describes as the former Executive Director of On To Victory.

How Leave fits

In Leave, every deal thread carries a rules summary for the athlete's state and level, and keeps the contract, its dates and the disclosure deadline that applies. It is a summary, not a ruling; the school and the law decide. Leave is software, not an agent, and takes 0% of any deal. You decide, you send.

Questions about NIL at Auburn

Does Auburn pay its athletes?

Auburn pays through House settlement revenue sharing. Athletics Director John Cohen wrote on 2025-06-07 that Auburn is "fully funding revenue sharing, a $20.5 million investment", and the College Sports Commission lists every SEC member as participating in 2026-27, with a cap of approximately $21.58 million per school. Auburn has not published a 2026-27 figure or how it divides the money among sports.

What NIL collective works with Auburn?

On To Victory (OTV). Cohen's 2025-06-07 letter says "Donations to OTV provide Auburn with a competitive edge both in recruiting and retaining elite student-athletes", and Auburn's 2025-07-31 release describes OTV as supporting Auburn athletes "through events, fan experience opportunities, fundraising and gifts". The same release moved OTV's monthly subscription platform into WarEagle+ at Auburn Sports Properties, whose new Playfly MAX team "will work diligently to connect Auburn student athletes with businesses for NIL partnerships across the region".

How do Auburn athletes report NIL deals?

Through NIL Go: NCAA Division I Bylaws 22.2.2 and 22.2.2.2 require third-party deals of $600 or more to be reported within five business days. Auburn has not published a reporting process of its own on its athletics site; its former NIL page returned "not found" on 2026-10-21. Auburn Athletics Compliance is at auburntigers.com/compliance.

What was Auburn's Aflac Kickoff Game NIL deal?

Auburn Athletics' release of 2025-10-06, on its Sept. 5, 2026 game against Baylor at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, says: "Through a multi-million-dollar partnership, Peach Bowl, Inc., via the Aflac Kickoff Game, will work with third-party entities to secure marketing assets and promotional appearances by Auburn student-athletes, giving them meaningful visibility and new avenues to benefit from their NIL." It calls this "a first-of-its-kind opportunity for Auburn student-athletes to engage in name, image and likeness (NIL) activations tied directly to ticket sales, the Aflac Kickoff Game, and surrounding events." The release names no athletes and gives no amounts.

Does Alabama's NIL law apply to Auburn athletes?

Alabama has no college NIL law now. Act 2021-227 was repealed by Act 2022-2 on 2022-02-03. What still applies is the state's Revised Uniform Athlete Agents Act, which covers agents who solicit endorsement contracts, and Auburn's compliance office links the Secretary of State's agent registration page.
