What is specific to Troy

Troy built its NIL education on campus rather than buying it in. The NIL Certificate Program, announced on 2023-06-14 by Troy Athletics and the Troy University IDEA Bank (the university's student entrepreneurship center), and listed on the athlete page as the ONE TROY NIL Certificate Program, is a self-paced, four-module course in athletes' Canvas accounts covering personal branding and social media, financial literacy and tax implications, NCAA compliance and getting started. Athletes who finish can enter the IDEA Bank database as NIL-certified student entrepreneurs and receive one-on-one NIL consulting, and the athlete page offers IDEA Bank advising on brand development, partner outreach and business plans. On the money side, Troy's collective went from volunteer-run to vendor-run: Trojans Together, launched publicly in August 2023 by Chuck Carson, Jason Jones and J.B. Roberts, handed all its operations to TheLinkU in May 2025.

How Leave fits

In Leave, every deal thread carries a rules summary for the athlete's state and level, and keeps the contract, its dates and the disclosure deadline that applies. It is a summary, not a ruling; the school and the law decide. Leave is software, not an agent, and takes 0% of any deal. You decide, you send.
