Pacific NIL rules.

Pacific's 2026-27 handbook says it requires all NIL deals, of any size, to go into NIL Go. The College Sports Commission lists Pacific as a revenue-sharing school.

The short answer. University of the Pacific's 2026-27 Student-Athlete Handbook says "Pacific Athletics requires ALL deals to be submitted via NILGo", not only the deals of $600 or more that NCAA rules cover, and bars NIL deals with gambling, alcohol, marijuana or tobacco, adult content, drugs, firearms or political advertising. The College Sports Commission lists Pacific as a 2026-27 revenue-sharing school, with a cap of about $21.58 million per school; Pacific has published no statement of its own on revenue sharing.

School NIL policyTwo published texts. The NIL web page (marked "Policy Updated January 11, 2022") asks athletes to send draft agreements to Athletics Compliance, which reviews for conflicts "typically within five business days", and says the athletics department and its staff "may not compensate or arrange compensation" for current athletes' NIL. The "NIL Policy" section of the 2026-27 Student-Athlete Handbook (posted 2026-09-11) says Pacific "supports the right of a student-athlete to benefit from their NIL", lists permitted activities (social media, lessons and camps, own business, ads, endorsements, appearances) and sets eight restrictions, including no pay contingent on a recruit's enrollment and no pay for athletic performance or participationPacific Athletics, Name, Image and Likeness page (updated 2022-01-11); Pacific Student-Athlete Handbook 2026-27
How deals are disclosedThe 2026-27 handbook says athletes disclose noninstitutional NIL contracts or payment terms worth $600 or more, "including those involving associated entities or individuals", to NIL Go under NCAA Bylaw 22, and that "Pacific Athletics requires ALL deals to be submitted via NILGo." NCAA Bylaws 22.2.2 and 22.2.2.2 set five business days for NIL Go reports. The 2022 web page asks for disclosure of "any and all" NIL agreements through the ARMS NIL Disclosure form, "in advance of signing". Banned categoriesCalifornia's statute lists none. Pacific's 2026-27 handbook bars NIL contracts "with products or services prohibited by University policy or NCAA regulations (e.g., gambling, alcohol, marijuana or tobacco products, pornographic or adult publications or sites, drugs or drug paraphernalia, firearms, or political advertisements)" and contracts that "negatively impact or reflect adversely" on the athlete or Pacific. School marks and group licensingPacific or athletics marks (examples given are the PowerCat, the Pacific Athletics and University of the Pacific wordmarks and the University Seal) need prior written permission, requested through the disclosure process before the activity. The 2022 web page adds that marks "will not be approved for use with an outside company unless the company is a sponsor of Pacific". Athletic facilities need a location agreement and rental fees, and planned filming on campus needs approval from University Marketing and Communications. Revenue sharingThe College Sports Commission lists the University of the Pacific as participating in 2026-27 and puts the cap at "approximately $21.58 million per school". Collective or NIL groupA Pacific Athletics release (2024-05-23) named Let's Go Tyges, powered by Student-Athlete NIL (SANIL), "the official NIL collective of the department", adding that it is "not an official part of Pacific Athletics" and that Pacific receives no financial benefit from it. The collective website named in that release did not load on 2026-10-23. Agents and representationThe handbook allows agents and attorneys "only for the purposes of negotiating their NIL contracts", not future professional contracts, and says "All NIL agents must be registered in the State of California pursuant to State Law SB 206." Pacific's Agents and Advisors Policy (July 2020) says an agent "must register with the Pacific Athletics Compliance Office and receive written notification of his or her approval" before contacting athletes, and file an Athlete Agent Disclosure Statement with the California Secretary of State; marketing representatives and brand managers count as agentsPacific Student-Athlete Handbook 2026-27; Pacific Athletics Agents and Advisors Policy (July 2020)

What is specific to Pacific

Pacific's rules ask for more reporting than the NCAA does. Where Bylaw 22.2.2 covers third-party deals of $600 or more, Pacific's 2026-27 handbook says the department "requires ALL deals to be submitted via NILGo", and its list of barred deal types reaches past the usual betting and substances to firearms and political advertisements. Pacific also describes itself as adding teams while other schools cut them: men's cross country and track and field from 2025-26, men's volleyball returning in spring 2027 as its 20th NCAA sport and STUNT as its 21st, according to Pacific's own releases.

How Leave fits

In Leave, every deal thread carries a rules summary for the athlete's state and level, and keeps the contract, its dates and the disclosure deadline that applies. It is a summary, not a ruling; the school and the law decide. Leave is software, not an agent, and takes 0% of any deal. You decide, you send.
