What is specific to UC Riverside
UC Riverside's athletics program has described its own recent history as a comeback: a UCR Athletics story from 2025-07-28 recounts that in August 2020 the university's Budget Advisory Committee recommended considering cutting the program during the pandemic. The fullest public record of how UCR has discussed NIL and revenue sharing is not on its athletics site but in the minutes of the UC Regents' Special Committee on Athletics for 2024-11-13, where UCR presented alongside UC Berkeley. There, UCR's senior associate athletics director listed NIL collectives, the transfer portal, roster limits and revenue sharing among its challenges; the minutes record Chancellor Wilcox clarifying that the UCR Athletics budget "was primarily comprised of direct institutional support and some student fees", and UCR talking with sponsors about "the percentage of sponsorship dollars that would go into NIL and into the program". In August 2025 UCR Athletics created the GAME Fund, which names NIL and revenue-sharing models among its uses, and Greg Paules became director of athletics in March 2026. UCR has posted no NIL policy, disclosure rule or update on its 2023 collective.
How Leave fits
In Leave, every deal thread carries a rules summary for the athlete's state and level, and keeps the contract, its dates and the disclosure deadline that applies. It is a summary, not a ruling; the school and the law decide. Leave is software, not an agent, and takes 0% of any deal. You decide, you send.
